A line of buses in front of the PowerPark area meant only one thing. The third day of the Power Cup was about to start. The teams were eagerly waiting for the important matches of today. Who advances to tomorrow’s finals?
The power market was buzzing yet again. At the Police stall, the power people could challenge their friends in a friendly bout of pull-ups. Guess what was the most sold item today? Yup, ice cream, what else. And which flavour is the most popular among the attendance, pear or mango-melon? You decide!
Finnish top volleyball league “Mestaruusliiga” had its own stall today, where the players were introducing themselves to the future generation. Few of the players also paid a visit to the fields to cheer the young stars in action. Riikka Valkonen and Laura Penttilä from Nurmon Jymy, reminisced about their own experience in past Power Cup tournaments. They took part almost 10 times!
Next year’s host city, Imatra, had their own stall where they were introducing accommodation possibilities for the next tournament.
Day two of the Jaffa Juicy festivals saw the Tiktokers challenge the Power people in volleyball. Obviously, the victory stayed at home as the young athletes took the game into their win column. Jaffa Juicy competitions returned in various challenges including the all-time classic, rock, paper, scissors. The Power stage didn’t have an artist today, instead, it was the Power people who took the stage dancing as the Dj kept them in a festival mood.
Excitement and laughter filled the amusement park when yesterday’s festival-goers had their chance to try out the rollercoasters of PowerPark. Yet again it was ice cream that rocked the sales lists, while the prizes from the different games acted as souvenirs. The youngest family members enjoyed a Dino Safari and the all-time favourite, the carousel.
Another eventful day in Power Cup. Now to get some rest and prepare, tomorrow is the final day!
