The Power Cup is the world’s largest volleyball tournament for children and young people. Every year, over 850 teams and over 7,500 guests take part in this four-day sports event, which takes place every year around Finland in a new location. There are other figures on the size of the tournament. Over 4,000 games are played in 300 fields over four days, and over 50,000 will be warmed to participants during the tournament alone!
But everyone who has been to the Power Cup knows that the size of the tournament is not what makes the event unique. Just started a summer vacation, long bright days full of games, fun, side events, top artists, old and new friends…. everything you can hope for from a holiday and sporting event.
What makes the event unique is the fact that there are girls and boys of all ages from school age to 22 in their own series. And all matches are judged by the players who are at rest. The best thing about Power, according to many guests, is the good and respectful atmosphere between all the participants.
Welcome to the Power Cup – not just the biggest in the world – but also the best fly tournament in the world!

It can accommodate a spectacular opening, a fast-paced racing disco with live performers, show matches, tournament finishing, etc. The varied extras and events of the event vary from year to year and take into account the local characteristics of the area.
One of the great experiences for the participants is the co-location of the community schools. The corridors of the schools are filled with cheerful talk as news is exchanged with teams from all over Finland and abroad. On this page, shared dwelling also teaches juniors the basics of group behavior and respect for others.
A showcase window for club work
About 200 clubs attend the event each year. The Power Cup is also a meeting point for coaches, instructors and other back-end youth volleyball teams. Clubs are also encouraged to utilize the event to recruit and inspire new coaches and coaches. One of the goals of the event is to further support and enhance the vitality of local club activities.
Year after year, the organizing clubs in the tournament community show enormous strength. Woman Volley ry is responsible for organizing the 2019 Power Cup in Rovaniemi together with the Finnish Volleyball Federation.
A changing host city
The second secret of the event’s success will inevitably be the annually changing host city. The role of the city and local partners is emphasized year by year. The strong visibility of the organizing city in pre-marketing and the hosting of the event are significant and widely visible business cards in the locality.
